Review Opportunity for USSO

U.S. Studies Online are seeking a conference reviewer for the upcoming “Queer Subjects and the Contemporary United States” colloquium.
USSO is the postgraduate and early-career website, network, and blog for the British Association for American Studies, committed to publishing new work in and related to the field.  We are looking for a short, 700-1200 word review of this event.  You can get a good idea of what this looks like from most recent conferences reviews, which can be found here: http://www.baas.ac.uk/usso/category/reviews/conference-reviews/

We also have a specific page giving tips on writing a conference review here: http://www.baas.ac.uk/usso/blog-3/top-tips-how-to-write-a-great-conference-review/

We’d be happy to expand on what this involves, so please feel free to get in touch with Rachael Alexander (r.alexander@strath.ac.uk) with any and all questions.

Programme and Registration are now available.

Please note that the event programme and registration options are now available. More details can be found under the corresponding tabs on the website.

We look forward to seeing you on the day, which promises to be a varied and stimulating occasion.

The Queer Studies Network received its ‘soft launch’ today. An associated Twitter and website are now online, where you can find more information and register.

This exciting new network aims to engage ‘in the forward movement of contemporary queer studies from a variety of perspectives, disciplines, and backgrounds’ through ‘a consistent engagement of the field in a myriad of ways’.

We invite you to join us in this venture, and welcome any individuals who have an interest.
